Launching to the Cloud Under a New Name
Diploma Technologies Inc. has launched a new brand, along with a new cloud platform. The new name Disceryx, pronounced “dis-sare’-ex”, is derived from the Latin root word “discere,” which means “to learn.”
Our new name, along with our new cloud solution, is the next step for our company and our commitment to supporting the educational sector with solutions for managing student records. What will never change is our commitment to our customers, our products, and our team through hard work, honesty, and integrity.

Robert Lehr
Bob has always embraced his independent streak. After spending several years in the corporate world, his entrepreneurial journey began when he branched off and started Diploma Technologies, Inc. The first product he brought to market was called Skill Manager, a software tool for teachers in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to record competencies and skills using portable devices prevalent at that time. Attendance Manager was launched soon after and continues to evolve — most recently transitioning to a cloud-based solution.
In 2023, Diploma Technologies became Disceryx and underwent a rebranding to reflect its commitment to innovation and adaptability. While Bob’s company has a new name, his mission remains the same: to empower educators with efficient tools that simplify administrative processes.
When Robert is not helping educators, he enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family.
Thomas Cowin
Tom is our chief technologist and lead developer on the AMC app and is also available to back up Bob day-to-day in providing technical support and answering questions. He has an extensive experience in programming and networking, benefited by a Computer Science background and having started an Internet Service Provider in 1993. He concurrently owns a business in Seattle, WA. that provides web application development as well as web design, development and hosting, Blackfin Webware.
Tom is originally from New Orleans, LA. and got both his Undergraduate and Master’s Degrees in Computer Science and has been working in the technology sector since. In his spare time, Tom enjoys biking, hiking and cooking.
